Damage to Kiln Shelves
I fire on cookies to prevent damage to kiln shelves for small drips, however damage beyond the cookie, or for meldowns due to inaccurate clay temperature will be charged up to $35.00 to replace a shelf if necessary. We are not liable for damages to peices due to runny glazes.
When getting things fired by the kiln load having your pieces wrapped or with fussy packing materials will slow down the loading increasing your cost
No glaze on the bottom of any mid or high fire piece, we can stilt cone 04 and lower pieces for $0.50 per stilt used.
Clean your bottoms, even small amounts of glaze on the bottoms of pieces can stick to the shelf damaging both the shelf and the item. If we see the glaze we will clean it off, but there will be an additional charge for the cleaning time ($60 per hour)
Large solid pieces cannot be efficiently fired. If you want to fire a large solid piece please contact us to discuss it.
Fired pieces must be picked up within 30 days of being fired.
Ceramics are delicate and damage may occur we are not responsible for any damage that happens to your pieces. We will do our utmost best to ensure your work makes it through all parts of the process intact.
The price below is to reserve a firing, and will be credited toward your firing cost. Actual cost to fire will be calculated when you bring down your work.
